If you're looking for a mechanic to work on your Rialta, then the first choice is if you need a VW dealership or a third-party mechanic.  If you need just routine maintenance work such as an oil change, 40K check-up, or other such work, then you do not have to go to a dealer but rather can have the work performed by any qualified mechanic.

On this page:

  •  VW Dealerships List
The list of "Official" VW of dealerships that supposedly work on Rialtas has been deleted due to major inaccuracies which get worse all the time.
  •  VW Mechanics List
This is the list of mechanics and garages recommended by Rialta and EuroVan owners.

VW Mechanics and Garages

Rather than duplicate the same efforts of others, the list of EuroVan mechanics has now been merged into and replaced by the list maintained by Larry Chase of the Roadhaus web site.  His is a nice list with both good and bad reviews of mechanics, VW dealerships, and parts outlets, though some are a bit outdated.  If you're not familiar with some common abbreviations, AC = Air Cooled and WC = Water Cooled.
